When undergoing a treatment there are many different things to consider post treatment, and these will all be different depending on what treatment you had.

We have listed our top four things to consider after you have had your treatment.

1: Am I happy with the treatment?

Once you have undergone your first treatment, whether it’s a facial or laser hair removal, ask yourself if you are happy with your results.

If you are not, contact your aesthetician for advice on why the treatment may have gone differently to what you expected, for example you may have expected to see more of an impact after one session, when in reality you need to have several.

2: Am I following the correct aftercare?

During your consultation at ProSkin your aesthetician will discuss both post and pre-treatment with you. For many treatments there is no aftercare required; however it’s important to return for follow up sessions for treatments that require a course such as Acne scar treatment and Dermaroller treatment. For treatments involving lasers you should follow aftercare instructions carefully, such as being careful whilst in the sun.

3: Is the treatment working/has it worked?

Some treatments can take longer than others to work, for example you will often see visible results with laser treatments after your first visit - however to get a result you are happy with, you may need more than one session.

With other treatments including facials and peels you will notice an instant improvement in your skin and will know that the treatment has benefited you instantly. Whilst having a consultation at ProSkin our team will discuss how many treatments you will need to achieve your desired result.

4: Do I want more sessions?
